There's a Christmas Market on 14th & 15th December but from the end of November until early January, Le Touquet is transformed into a magical place with an abundance of simple but tasteful decorations, "tens of kilometres" of fairy lights, an enchanted forest setting for christmas stalls, activity workshops for children, an ice rink and specialities in the local shops. There are organised trips around the lighthouse, too.

We have just come back from a weekend in the Le Touquet area. We visited Le Touquet Paris Plage and the lights are wonderful but the weather was very wet, which put a damper on the market. It was too windy for a pleasant walk along the seafront but the other roads were tolerable.
So, instead, we went Christmas Shopping but the Euro is quite strong at the moment therefore bargains were difficult to find.
Overall, though, a pleasant weekend away.
